My Top 3 Healthy Brekkie's

April 26, 2017

Oats.

I love, love, love porridge. In fact I would almost go as far as saying it's my favourite brekkie option. It's just so quick and easy and you can add so many different flavours! I find my body reacts better to warming foods in the morning and oats seem to fill me up for the longest so it's a win-win!

My favourite recipe:

50g Oats

Milk of choice (I use semi-skimmed or rice milk but to be totally honest I don't measure it, I just keep adding until it's the consistency I want)

Chocolate Protein Powder/Cacao Powder (take off the heat first before mixing in)

Toppings:

Banana

Milled Linseed/Chia Seeds

Smoothie Bowl.

I have to admit I don't have this often as it makes for a lot of washing up - not keen! BUT it is so delicious when I have the time and always fancy it when it's sunny outside and want something refreshing! Smoothie bowls are pretty much exactly that, a smoothie in a bowl. However, they tend to be a lot thicker because of the yoghurt so your toppings should sit on the top rather than sinking in. Yum and so pretty :)

My favourite recipe:

1 x Banana

Handful of Frozen Berries

3 x tbsp of Plain Greek Yoghurt

Splash of Semi-Skimmed Milk

Vanilla Protein Powder

Toppings:

Oats

Milled Linseed/Chia Seeds

Eggs.

I never really used to like eggs when I was younger and although I love them now I still have to be in the mood for them (I go through phases where all I want to eat is poached eggs on toast!) My favourite is definitely poached eggs (have to be runny though) with avocado on wholegrain toast. Really good option for protein, carbs and healthy fats from the avocado and it's delicious!

My favourite recipe:

2 x eggs

1 x Mashed Avocado

2 slices of Wholegrain Seeded Bread

Sprinkle of Salt on the Eggs!

Love Georgia x
